USU Participates in Developing Industry 4.0 Curriculum

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) team participated in a study visit on May 18-20, 2022, in Patras, Hellenic Open University (HOU), Greece. This activity is part of the Erasmus + program related to curriculum development for the Ind 4.0 Master Program. It Involves 15 consortium partners from Asia and Europe, including Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), University of Heng Samrin (Cambodia), Hellenic Open University (Greece), and Guglielmo Marconi University (Italy).

In the event, USU represented Indonesia with Dr. Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga, S.T., M.T. The objective of this study visit was to formulate the key aspects necessary for the development of an Industry 4.0-based curriculum.

During the study visit, participants were introduced to the Hellenic Open University (HOU) and followed a presentation on smart cities and machine learning. Discussions were also held on the future of Industry 4.0 education. This was one of nine Erasmus+ activities, demonstrating their commitment to improving their curriculum and international collaboration.
