Erasmus+ Industry 4.0 Training Program by Universitas Sumatera Utara
KAMPUS USU, MEDAN, INDONESIA — On 11th & 12th January 2022, Universitas Sumatera Utara held an on-campus event titled “Erasmus+ Industry 4.0 for Vocational and Education Training Program”. The objective of the event was to test the newly added equipment and to train the lab assistants and technicians to operate the new equipment, which later will be used to facilitate the new Vocational and Education Training Program in USU. The equipment and the training program are funded by European Union’s Erasmus+ Program with Project Number 610455-EPP-1-2019-1-MY-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP. This project is a collaboration between Electrical Engineering Department and Master Program of Universitas Sumatera Utara with International Partners from Malaysia (UiTM, UniKL, UTM), Kamboja (UHST, UBB, MCU, MoEYS), Indonesia (USU, Unsyiah), Yunani (HOU, AMC, BK), Italia (USGM, Sapienza). The event was held for two days with a total duration of 13 hours. The event was attended by 6 lecturers, and 7 master’s students as lab asistants. The first day of the event began with introduction of the program by Mr. Emerson Pascawira Sinulingga, Ph.D. as the Chair of Erasmus+ Industry 4.0 Team of Universitas Sumatera Utara. It was followed by an opening speech by the Vice Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Tigor Hamonangan Nasution, S.T., M.T. and by the Head of the Electrical Engineering Master Study Program, Dr. Ali Hanafiah Rambe, S.T., M.T.
